Our Yoga teachers

Jac Bolletta

One of Auckland’s most respected teachers, Jac is passionate about the body and its movement. Her warm, approachable and inspiring classes make the most of everyday life through movement and movement’s relationship to breath.

Focusing on the therapeutic aspects of yoga, Jac has worked with disabilities, mental health and trauma - including her own injuries. Her classes appeal to both beginners as well as those further in their yoga journeys.

Jac co-directed the Wellness Collective in Auckland and is currently working with Vincent Bolletta of Hansa Yoga - passing knowledge onto other teachers both at home and abroad.  Jac believes in the power of yoga to make a person feel infinitely more comfortable in their body by making the absolute best of what they’ve got.

Our Yoga teachers

Louise Paiti

Louise Paiti is a body-mind practitioner with over 25 years of experience in the fields of Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy, Yoga, Breathwork and Polynesian Bodywork.

Currently a Counselling student, Louise is interested in the interplay of ancient wisdom and modern science. She is passionate about sharing stress relief tools, which help us navigate the complexities of modern life and live well. Using these techniques, Louise creates a liminal space for you to settle into. Allowing you to show up as you are, and through the guidance of breath, be present in the moment.

The effect of these practices are strengthened through communal connection, working with others to settle our bodies and minds. Most importantly, these practices empower us to become our own healers, nurturers, and cultivators

Join us for an incredible island retreat to one of the world’s most breath-taking tropical destinations - Aitutaki in the Cook Islands.

Escape New Zealand weather, and enjoy tropical warmth in the Cook Islands.

Spend your days in paradise, experiencing change and growth through restorative yoga, relaxation, and adventure. Unroll your mat in pure paradise and move with purpose. Make life-long friendships with other yogis in the jewel of the pacific.

Tropical Island Yoga is recognised by the New Zealand Herald as ‘one of the world’s best yoga retreats’, and it’s easy to see why. We’ve spent the past decade cultivating an experience like no other. Perfectly balancing asana and adventure; providing opportunities for deeper connection with other yogis, and the art of yoga.  Come with us and celebrate the social side of the mat creating life-long friendships and memories.

Tropical Island Yoga is authentically Kuki Airani, built by Cook Islanders. Every one of our retreats is uniquely crafted for the needs of each moment. Experience authentic Cook Island culture, through the eyes of the locals. See the tropics like never before, being guided through the islands by those who know them best; discovering the hidden treasures off the beaten track.

This retreat is suited to yogis of all levels and is catered to guests travelling from Australia, New Zealand or Rarotonga. We guarantee small groups - creating the perfect space for experienced yogis to deepen their practice, and to give those new to the practice an opportunity to enjoy individual attention in relaxed environment.
